Cole Custer: Third at Chicagoland Speedway
Custer finished third in the Overton's 300 Xfinity Series race at Chicagoland Speedway Saturday afternoon.
Analysis:
Custer would start 12th on the grid and quickly race his way forward. He finished fourth in stage 2 and would compete inside the Top 5 most of the second-half of the race. Custer didn't have the speed to reel-in the leaders, but he'd chase their rear bumpers for the later stages of the event. By lap 200 Custer would cross the finish line a brilliant third for his sixth Top 5 of the season. The Stewart Haas Racing driver remains second in the overall driver standings as a result.
