Martin Truex Jr.: Wins Richmond Pole Position
Truex Jr. won the pole for the Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond Raceway Friday afternoon. He turned a fast lap of 123.859 mph.
Analysis:
Truex has a great final round of knockout qualifying. He would set down a very fast lap in his Furniture Row Racing Toyota. Truex edged Chase Elliott to claim the top starting spot for Saturday night's race at Richmond. It was his third pole of the season and 18th of his Monster Energy Cup Series career. Truex will be going for his first-ever Richmond win in Saturday night's Toyota Owners 400.
