Martin Truex Jr.: Wins Auto Club 400
Truex Jr. won the Auto Club 400 at Auto Club Speedway Sunday afternoon.
Analysis:
The Furniture Row Racing star set the tone for this one early on as he led the first 10 laps from the pole. Kyle Busch would eventually track him down and pass him, but the No. 78 Toyota would prove to be superior on long green-flag runs all afternoon. Truex would take the lead from Busch for the final time on lap 169 and cruise to the finish. The veteran driver would lead 125 laps en route to his first victory of the season, and first-career win at Auto Club Speedway.
