The race before the Chase is usually an exciting one, but unfortunately Saturday night’s dominance by race-winner Brad Keselowski translated to another hit in the ratings, according to SportsBusiness Daily.
Last year’s September Richmond race (which included Clint Bowyer's famous "spingate") earned a 3.3 U.S. household rating with an average of 5,153,000 viewers.
Saturday night’s race earned a 3.0 U.S. household rating, with an average of 4,920,000 viewers, a drop of about 4.52%.
Greenville, S.C., led the U.S. metered markets with a 7.6 rating. Here are the top 10 markets:
