You can now put those “M&M’s to sponsor Carl Edwards” rumors to rest. Joe Gibbs Racing president J.D. Gibbs told FOX Sports’ Tom Jensen on Sunday morning that the candy brand will be staying with Kyle Busch next season.
In regards to bringing Carl Edwards to the team in 2015, Gibbs said that an announcement won’t come before September at the earliest.
Gibbs told Jensen that “this year represents a better chance to expand to four cars than in prior year.”
Jensen asked Gibbs if he could put a number from 1-100 on what the chances are that they’ll create a 4th team, and Gibbs responded with “I wouldn’t put a number to it, but it’s a possibility. It’s just that a lot of work has to go into it.”
