Elliott Sadler wins the Aaron's 312 at Talladega
Joe Gibbs Racing driver Elliott Sadler was the first to cross the finish line in a clean and exciting final laps at Talladega Superspeedway to win the Aaron’s 312. This win for Sadler marks his first in the Nationwide series for Joe Gibbs Racing.
4 cars separated from the field in the final laps of the race. David Ragan pushed Sadler, and JR Motorsports’ Regan Smith pushed Roush Fenway’s Chris Buescher to the finish line, but it was Sadler who won the race by 0.125 seconds.
Grabbing the checkered flag at Talladega has been a bit of an obstacle for Sadler. He won the pole in both the 2011 and 2012 Nationwide races, yet finished 5th, and 10th respectively. Not to mention all of the times he was involved in airborne wrecks year after year.
