Jimmie Johnson’s brother-in-law dies in skydiving accident
Six-time Sprint Cup Champion Jimmie Johnson tweeted out a link to his website Monday afternoon, announcing the unfortunate death of his brother-in-law.
According to NBC 7 San Diego, 27-year old Jordan Janway died after a midair collision and a free fall without a chute near San Diego Sunday evening.
Janway was reported missing around 4:30pm on Sunday, but by 5:15pm, police helicopters found him dead.
He was the brother of Johnson’s wife Chandra Janway Johnson.
Johnson’s message on his site said the following:
The Johnsons are saddened by the tragic passing of Chandra’s brother, Jordan Janway, 27. Jordan was an incredible son, brother, uncle and friend and will be dearly missed. Please keep the Janway family in your thoughts and prayers. The family asks for privacy at this time.
