Shane Van Gisbergen: Wins The Loop 110 Pole
Van Gisbergen won the pole for The Loop 110 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at the Chicago Street Course on Saturday. He turned a fast lap of 87.917 mph.
Analysis:
The driver of the No. 9 Chevrolet improved on a strong practice and reached deeper in pole qualifying at Chicago. Van Gisbergen would challenge the 88 mph mark and beat Austin Hill by a comfortable 2.5-tenths to claim the pole position for The Loop 110. With Connor Zilisch starting all the way back in 35th-place, this race could end up being a dominant performance for van Gisbergen.
