Alex Bowman: Crash and DNF in Chicago
Bowman crashed and finished 37th in the Grant Park 220 NASCAR Cup Series race at the Chicago Street Course on Sunday evening.
Analysis:
Bowman's hopes for a Top-10 finish in Chicago would quickly fade. He'd be punted by Denny Hamlin from behind entering turn 11 and make heavy contact with the wall on lap 40. The damage would be enough to make Bowman the first retirement of the day. It was his first DNF of the season.
