Mark Thompson: Third in NC Education Lottery 200

Thompson finished third in the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway Friday night.

Analysis:

Thompson qualified well and raced among the Top 5 all evening at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The young driver couldn't tear the lead away from faster drivers, but he'd stay on the heels of the leaders the full 200-miles. Thompson would get around Carson Hocevar in the closing laps to earn his first-career Top-5 finish in his 35th series start.
