Alex Bowman: Ruled out at Charlotte Roval

Hendrick Motorsports announced on Tuesday that Bowman (concussion) will not race in Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series race at the Charlotte Roval.

Analysis:

Bowman will miss a second straight race due to concussion symptoms stemming from backing his car into the wall at Texas Motor Speedway on Sept. 25. This will mean that Bowman is officially eliminated from the Drivers Championship. Noah Gragson will pilot the No. 48 car for the second straight week. With not much to gain, it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility that Bowman could sit out the rest of the season.
