After six seasons driving for Stewart-Haas Racing, Danica Patrick has announced their relationship will come to an end following the 2017 season, putting her NASCAR future in doubt.
Here's Patrick's statement from her official Facebook page:
Patrick has driven for Stewart-Haas Racing for the entirety of her NASCAR career, but after issues arose surrounding securing a new anchor sponsor for next season, it's expected the team will be using a new driver at the beginning of the 2018 season.
Patrick has seven top-10 finishes in 180 career starts, but has struggled this year, and sits 28th in the standings.
