Condit, Alves won't be tested for drugs until evening of UFC Fight Night 67

Set to face off at UFC Fight Night 67 in Brazil on Saturday night, Carlos Condit and Thiago Alves weren't subjected to any pre-fight drug screenings by the Brazilian Athletic Commission.

The Comissao Atletica Brasileira de MMA (CABMMA) will instead administer urine tests to Condit, Alves, and the rest of the 22 combatants on the night of the fight.

"We have not drug tested Carlos and Thiago yet; no 'camp' tests have been done for this event," the CABMMA said in a statement, according to MMAjunkie.com's Mike Bohn. "All fighters will be tested upon arrival at arena on fight night through urine - anabolic steroids, stimulants, diuretics/other masking agents and drugs of abuse."

With the UFC set to roll out a new, much more stringent drug testing policy in July, Condit is disappointed the CABMMA didn't perform any out-of-competition tests.

"Maybe they don't have the logistics down here (in Brazil) or it wasn't a big enough fight, but I definitely didn't get tested,” Condit said. "I would be open to whatever they want to do. I fully support what they're doing in regards to drug testing in terms of the testing policy. I'm glad they're doing it, but I don't know (why I wasn't tested)."

Although Condit has never failed a drug test during his UFC tenure, Alves tested positive for a banned diuretic following a victory over Tony DeSouza at UFC 66 back in 2006.
