Dana White praises Chris Camozzi's willingness to face Jacare on 6 days notice
When Yoel Romero pulled out of his bout against Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza at UFC on FOX 15, the promotion was forced to scramble to find a replacement, finally settling on Chris Camozzi, a man they cut in 2014 after he lost four consecutive bouts in the Octagon.
Well, "settling" might be the wrong word. Apparently there aren't too many people lining up to face one of the best grapplers on the planet with just six days to prepare.
@Medium_Nog @ufc hey dummy, u know how many people wanna fight Jacare on 6 days notice? 1!!!! @ChrisCamozzi. #muchrespectchris

Although he was completely mauled by Jacare when the two squared off at UFC on FOX 8 in 2013, taking the fight on short notice was actually a pretty savvy move by Camozzi. No one is expecting him to win, so an upset would be a gargantuan feather in his cap.
Not to mention the fact that he's doing the UFC a huge favor, so he'll likely get a nice under the table bonus, and a chance to reignite his floundering career with a couple of softball bouts.
