Gleison Tibau steps in on short notice against Tony Ferguson at UFC 184
Gleison Tibau's quest up the UFC's lightweight ladder continues on February 28.
The 31-year-old veteran, whose 16 wins ties him with Randy Couture and Chuck Liddell for fourth on the UFC's all-time list, has a chance to add to that total when he steps in on short notice against Tony Ferguson at UFC 184.
Yancy Medeiros was originally scheduled to face Ferguson, but had to pull out of the bout with an injury.
Tibau is riding a three-fight winning streak, having defeated Norman Parke via split-decision at UFC Fight Night 59 in January.
The talented Ferguson is 7-1 since joining the UFC's ranks in June 2011, and counts Yves Edwards, Danny Castillo, and Abel Trujillo among his higher-profile scalps.
