Cro Cop vs. Gonzaga II to headline UFC's first event in Poland
The UFC's first foray into Poland will feature a rematch of one of the most shocking upsets in MMA history.
After three years of throwing left head kicks in Japan, MMA legend Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic will make his return to the Octagon against Gabriel Gonzaga at the Krakow Arena in Krakow, Poland on April 11.
In 2007, Cro Cop, fresh of a spectacular run in PRIDE where he claimed the 2006 Open Weight Grand Prix, was looking to vault himself into the UFC heavyweight title picture with a win over an up-and-coming Gonzaga.
The Croatian's left head kick was the stuff of legend, so the world was shocked when Gonzaga flipped the script and decimated Cro Cop with a mind-scrambling head kick of his own.
The card will also feature Poland's own Jan Blachowicz take on powerful Englishman Jimi Manuwa.
