UFC 179: Dariush dominates Ferreira
Beneil Dariush silenced the Brazilian crowd with a dominating unanimous decision victory over Diego Ferreira.
Dariush was seemingly glued to Ferreira, easily controlling the former Legacy FC Lightweight champion with superior wrestling and absolutely suffocating top-control.
Ferreira showed some spark early in the final round, landing a few hard uppercuts before falling victim to a well-timed Dariush takedown. That takedown was all the Kings MMA product would need, as Dariush rode out the round with complete control as Ferreira struggled to piece together any kind of offense off his back.
The win improves Dariush's record to 9-1 (3-1 UFC), while the loss, Ferreira's first, drops his record to 11-1 (2-1 UFC) .
