Josh Emmett filed a late entry for Knockout of the Year at UFC 296.

Emmett starched Bryce Mitchell with an absolutely filthy one-punch knockout less than two minutes into their featherweight bout Saturday night in Las Vegas.

Mitchell stepped in on 10 days' notice, replacing Giga Chikadze.

Emmett is back on track after a rough patch earlier this year. The No. 6-ranked contender lost to Yair Rodriguez via submission in an interim title bout in February and then was dominated by Ilia Topuria in a Fight Night main event in June.

This was Emmett's first victory since June 2022 and first knockout since July 2019.
