Ramos has UFC bout canceled after missing weight by 8 pounds
This weekend's UFC Las Vegas event is down a matchup due to a massive weight miss.
Featherweights Ricardo Ramos and Austin Lingo won't enter the Octagon on Saturday after Ramos weighed in Friday morning at 154 pounds, which is eight pounds over the divisional limit for non-title bouts, the promotion announced
Lingo made weight at 145.5 pounds.
Ramos had never missed the mark before in 10 UFC appearances. His first five fights in the promotion took place at bantamweight.
The 27-year-old was looking to earn his second straight win after knocking out Danny Chavez last June. Meanwhile, Lingo was set to compete for the first time since August 2021. The 28-year-old is riding a two-fight winning streak and is 2-1 in the promotion overall.
UFC Las Vegas will be headlined by a pivotal bantamweight tilt between former champion Petr Yan and Merab Dvalishvili.
