Jon Jones doesn't have time for Francis Ngannou.

In Saturday's UFC 285 main event, Jones submitted Ciryl Gane to capture the heavyweight title Ngannou held until leaving the promotion as a free agent in January. Ngannou offered a brief - but impactful - reaction to the historic result on Twitter, referring to himself as "the heavyweight king."

When asked about the former champion's tweet, Jones seemingly held nothing back.

"Francis is a big ol' p---y," Jones said at the UFC 285 postfight press conference. "I love that quote. I love it. All that muscle with a big-ass p---y."

For almost three years, there were talks of a blockbuster fight between Ngannou and Jones.

Initially, it didn't materialize because Jones was at odds with UFC president Dana White over his pay. And then last year, Ngannou fought out his contract as the reigning champion and failed to come to terms with the promotion on a new deal.

When Ngannou parted ways with the UFC, Jones supported the move. But he recently switched his stance, saying Ngannou "didn't believe in himself" enough to stay in the UFC and fight him. Ngannou expressed disappointment that Jones would side with the promotion.

Even after Jones' title win, many will still consider Ngannou the No. 1 heavyweight in the world. Ngannou captured the belt in March 2021 by knocking out Stipe Miocic and defended it once with a unanimous decision win over Gane.
