White: 'I really like' idea of McGregor-Chandler
Dana White has an idea in mind for Conor McGregor's next opponent.
The UFC president said the former two-division champion could return to the Octagon against No. 5-ranked lightweight Michael Chandler.
"I really like Chandler versus Conor after Chandler's last fight," White told TMZ Sports. "There (are) plenty of fights to make. I don't know if that's the one, but we'll see what the landscape looks like when Conor comes back."
Chandler expressed interest in facing McGregor after his last victory - a "Knockout of the Year" candidate against Tony Ferguson at UFC 274 in May. In the past, McGregor has also said he would be open to taking on Chandler.
McGregor hasn't stepped into the cage since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier last July.
White said he expects the Irishman to come back in late 2022 or early 2023.
