ONE Championship's 10-year anniversary event, including a mixed-rules fight between Demetrious Johnson and Rodtang Jitmuangnon, has been postponed due to a rising number of COVID-19 cases in Singapore, ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong announced.

Sityodtong said the card, which was initially slated for Dec. 5, will be rescheduled for early 2022. However, an exact date wasn't revealed.

Singapore has seen a spike in COVID-19 cases since September after some restrictions were relaxed. The city-state reported 5,324 new cases Wednesday, the highest single-day count since the start of the pandemic, according to Reuters.

Johnson, a former UFC flyweight champion who signed with ONE in 2018, and Rodtang, the ONE flyweight Muay Thai titleholder, were scheduled to meet in a unique combination of mixed martial arts and Muay Thai.

ONE's postponed event - dubbed ONE X - will still feature the previously scheduled bantamweight title fight between Bibiano Fernandes and UFC veteran John Lineker. It'll also include the featherweight title bout pitting Thanh Le against grappling ace Garry Tonon.
