Former featherweight champion Max Holloway will take on Yair Rodriguez in the main event of a UFC card on July 17, Dana White told ESPN's Brett Okamoto.

Holloway is coming off a dominant decision victory over Calvin Kattar, which marked his first win since he lost the featherweight title to Alexander Volkanovski in December 2019.

"Blessed" will meet the division's No. 3 contender in Rodriguez. The Mexican star has been out of action since defeating Jeremy Stephens in October 2019 and recently finished a six-month suspension from USADA for missing drug tests.

Rodriguez was expected to return against Zabit Magomedsharipov. Injuries forced Rodriguez to withdraw from a Magomedsharipov bout multiple times before USADA suspended him. Magomedsharipov is rumored to be contemplating retirement and was recently removed from the UFC rankings.

The July 17 card will also feature former women's bantamweight champion Miesha Tate in her first fight out of a retirement that lasted over four years. She squares off with Marion Reneau.
