Archuleta to defend Bellator title vs. Sergio Pettis in May

Juan Archuleta is set to defend his bantamweight title against Sergio Pettis in the Bellator 258 main event on May 7, the promotion announced Tuesday.
Archuleta captured the vacant belt last September with a unanimous-decision win over Patchy Mix. "Spaniard" is riding a two-fight winning streak and has lost only once since 2015.
Pettis signed with Bellator in 2019 after a six-year stint in the UFC, with which he was a top flyweight contender. The 27-year-old has won two straight fights in the promotion with a decision over Ricky Bandejas and a submission of Alfred Khashakyan.
Bellator 258 takes place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
