Greg Hardy suffered the first stoppage loss of his career at Saturday's UFC Fight Night.

The former NFL player fell to Marcin Tybura via TKO in the opening main-card bout. The finish came at 4:31 of the second round at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Tybura took Hardy down with about 90 seconds left in the frame. A few moments later, he started to open up and pummeled Hardy with ground-and-pound. Hardy failed to improve his position, forcing the referee to intervene.

Hardy had a strong start to the contest, piecing Tybura up on the feet with crisp punches in the first round.

With the defeat, Hardy dropped to 4-3 (1 NC) in the UFC and 7-3 (1 NC) overall. His previous losses came by way of decision and disqualification.

Meanwhile, Tybura has won four straight fights.
