Report: Dos Santos returns vs. Gane at UFC 256

Former heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos will face Ciryl Gane at UFC 256 on Dec. 12 in Las Vegas, sources told MMA Fighting's Mike Heck and Guilherme Cruz.

Dos Santos will look to snap the first losing streak of his 29-bout career. The Brazilian has lost three in a row against Jairzinho Rozenstruik, Curtis Blaydes, and Francis Ngannou, all by knockout.

Gane is one of the top heavyweight prospects in the UFC. The 29-year-old is coming off a win over Tanner Boser last December and owns a 3-0 Octagon record.

UFC 256 will be headlined by a women's featherweight title fight between two-division champion Amanda Nunes and Megan Anderson. In the co-feature, bantamweight champ Petr Yan will face Aljamain Sterling.
