The UFC is working on booking a main-event bout between former light heavyweight title contender Dominick Reyes and Jiri Prochazka for its Feb. 27 event, president Dana White told ESPN's Brett Okamoto.

Reyes is currently ranked second in the division and is coming off the first two losses of his professional career. The 6-foot-4 striker owned a 12-0 record before losing by unanimous decision to champion Jon Jones at UFC 247 in February and then suffering a second-round TKO loss to Jan Blachowicz in a light heavyweight title fight on Sept. 26.

Prochazka is the No. 5-ranked light heavyweight and is riding an 11-fight winning streak. He owns a career 27-3 record and knocked out Volkan Oezdemir on his UFC debut on July 11.

A win by either challenger could vault them into title contention.
