Alexander Volkov beat Walt Harris via second-round TKO in a heavyweight bout Saturday at UFC 254 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The stoppage came at 1:15.
The finish came as Volkov landed a front kick to Harris' body, forcing a grimacing Harris back against the fence. Volkov then landed a barrage of punches before the referee stepped in.
Volkov, who stands 6-foot-7 and has an 81-inch reach, used his volume and reach effectively. He picked Harris apart in the opening round and stunned him a couple of times before securing the finish.
With the victory, "Drago" bounced back from a June loss to Curtis Blaydes. The No. 7-ranked heavyweight contender is 2-2 in his past four outings.
Harris has now lost two straight bouts.
