Anderson Silva's next walk to the Octagon will be his last.

The legendary Brazilian fighter told MMA Junkie's Mike Bohn on Tuesday his UFC career will come to an end with the Oct. 31 headliner against Uriah Hall.

"This is the last fight," Silva said. "For sure, this is the last fight. Probably. I love the sport. I've prepared my mind for this. I've prepared for fight my entire life, but yes, this is my last fight in UFC."

The former longtime middleweight champion hasn't fought since his May 2019 loss to Jared Cannonier. Silva is 1-4 in his past five contests, with his most recent victory coming against Derek Brunson in February 2017.

Silva reportedly has two bouts left on his current contract, but after the defeat to Cannonier, UFC president Dana White has said he wants to help the 45-year-old exit the promotion gracefully with one last matchup.

"I think (I'll miss) the training (the most)," Silva said. "Preparing my mind, preparing my body. This I think is most important and I feel sad because I don't have this anymore. This is the last one."

Regardless of the result of Silva's final fight, a place in the UFC Hall of Fame awaits.

Silva is the owner of the longest UFC title reign ever, dominating the 185-lb division from 2006 to 2013 (2,457 days). He also has the second-most title defenses (10) behind former flyweight king Demetrious Johnson.
