Nick Diaz is preparing for a return to action after spending more than five years away from the UFC.
His manager, Kevin Mubenga, told ESPN's Ariel Helwani that Diaz "100 percent" plans on fighting again and is targeting a return in early 2021.
The 37-year-old has been training and is eyeing the welterweight division.
Diaz hasn't made the walk to the Octagon since his bout against Anderson Silva on Jan. 31, 2015. He lost via unanimous decision, but the ruling was overturned and deemed a no-contest after both fighters failed drug tests. Diaz's sample contained marijuana metabolites.
His initial five-year suspension was reduced to 18 months.
