A trilogy fight between Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira has been booked for UFC 250 on May 9 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Dana White told ESPN's Brett Okamoto on Thursday.
The two Brazilian fighters first met in 2005 while with Pride FC, and again in 2015 at UFC 190. Rua won both bouts via unanimous decision.
Rua (26-11-1), a former UFC light heavyweight champion, is coming off a split draw against Paul Craig in November. The 38-year-old had won four of his last five bouts prior to that tilt.
The 42-year-old Nogueira (23-9) hasn't fought since May 2019, when he suffered a knockout loss to Ryan Spann. "Lil Nog" has split wins and losses over his last four bouts.
The promotion has yet to announce the main event for its UFC 250 card.
