In the first of three title fights at UFC 245 on Saturday, Amanda Nunes retained the women's bantamweight crown with a unanimous decision win over Germaine de Randamie.

The judges scored the fight 49-44, 49-46, and 49-45 in favor of "The Lioness."

De Randamie was far from a walk in the park for Nunes, but the Brazilian's takedowns and grappling ability were the difference-makers in the five-round title fight.

The challenger made things interesting and hurt Nunes on the feet in the second round, but Nunes dominated de Randamie on the ground as the fight went on. De Randamie was unable to defend the majority of Nunes' takedown attempts.

The win moved Nunes' winning streak to 10 in a row. She's defended the 135-pound belt a total of five times.

De Randamie suffered her first defeat since 2013 when she lost to Nunes in their first fight. The Dutch fighter was riding a five-bout winning streak heading into Saturday.
