UFC two-division champion Amanda Nunes hasn't defended her featherweight title since winning it nearly a year ago, but that'll soon change.

Nunes, who defends her bantamweight belt against Germaine de Randamie at UFC 245 on Saturday, said she plans to make her first outing in 2020 at 145 pounds.

"I'm gonna defend my belt right after this one," Nunes said Wednesday at an athlete panel in Las Vegas. "Next year, I want to defend my 145-pound belt, keep making history, keep (doing) something nobody did before."

Nunes said in November she initially wanted the de Randamie fight to take place at featherweight, but the challenger wanted it at bantamweight and ultimately got her way. De Randamie, the UFC's inaugural women's featherweight champ, confirmed she wanted it at bantamweight because that's the more active weight class.

Nunes said the hope is to go back and forth between divisions moving forward.

"I'm gonna do it," Nunes said. "If my body responds well, I will keep doing it forever."

Nunes is coming off a knockout of former bantamweight champ Holly Holm at UFC 239 in July. She captured the featherweight title with an upset stoppage of Cris Cyborg in December 2018. She's held the bantamweight strap since July 2016.
