Overeem undergoes plastic surgery for busted lip

UFC heavyweight Alistair Overeem has undergone successful plastic surgery for a lip injury he suffered in Saturday night's main event in Washington, D.C., his team told ESPN's Ariel Helwani.

Overeem tore his upper lip on a knockout punch from Jairzinho Rozenstruik in the dying seconds of their heavyweight bout.

The loss snapped Overeem's two-fight winning streak.
