Former UFC women's featherweight champion Cris "Cyborg" Justino has signed with Bellator MMA, the promotion's president, Scott Coker, announced Tuesday.

"You guys know (they) have a lot of girls at 145 pounds. This means you're going to have a lot of fights per year, and I'm very happy about that," Cyborg said in a video Coker posted. "My goal is to be the only female fighter to hold four different titles in the same division. I know with you guys I can do that, and I just want to say, 'Cyborg Nation': Welcome to Bellator."

Justino (21-2, NC) became a free agent in August after failing to reach an agreement with the UFC. There's typically an exclusive negotiating period with the UFC after a contract expires; however, president Dana White opted to release Cyborg immediately.

The 34-year-old defeated Felicia Spencer at UFC 241 in August and went 4-1 in the Octagon. Her lone setback came at UFC 232, where she surrendered her featherweight championship to Amanda Nunes.

Current Bellator MMA women's featherweight champion Julia Budd told theScore in July that she's interested in a potential title defense against Cyborg. Coker and Cyborg's working relationship dates back to when the Brazilian fought under the now-defunct Strikeforce banner from 2009-11.

There's no update on when Cyborg will make her promotional debut or who her next opponent will be.
