Ben Askren will make his return to the Octagon against Demian Maia at UFC Singapore on Oct. 26, he announced Tuesday on Twitter.
Askren's last appearance was a short-lived one, as Jorge Masvidal knocked him out with a flying knee in a record five seconds at UFC 239 in July.
The 35-year-old sports a 19-1 professional mixed martial arts record and is ranked No. 11 in the welterweight division. Maia, 27-9, enters the bout as the 10th-ranked 170-pounder.
Maia lost three consecutive decisions to top welterweights Tyron Woodley, Colby Covington, and Kamaru Usman, but he's rebounded nicely in 2019 with victories against Lyman Good and Anthony Rocco Martin.
