Duffee: 'Flat-out wrong' that Hardy is being paid well, promoted by UFC

UFC heavyweight Todd Duffee is hoping to make his long-awaited return to the Octagon later this year. And while the 33-year-old has a potential opponent in mind, he doesn't think it's right.

"Of course I want to fight Greg Hardy," Duffee told theScore. "He's making ($100,000 to show, $100,000 to win) and has no experience. He's an athlete but he’s not a skilled athlete. From what I've seen it doesn't seem like he has the skill set to be getting paid 100k and 100k. It's just flat-out wrong."

Hardy (4-1) is scheduled to fight Juan Adams on the main card of UFC on ESPN 4 in San Antonio. The former NFL player's checkered past is another reason Duffee can't believe the UFC is giving him so much promotion.

"I fought in a main event for 10k, like what the f---'s going on here? It’s like pitiful he's being glorified. Everybody wants to fight that guy just based off (his past). Now can I speak on what happened (in his past)? No, I don't have an opinion on that. But I do have an opinion when I see a guy who had nothing but negative publicity propel him to 100k to 100k. That’s wild, it doesn’t make sense. But we are the society we are. So it is what it is I guess."
