The feud between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor has reached new levels of intensity.

After McGregor tweeted (and then deleted) personal attacks on Nurmagomedov's wife, the UFC champion responded by calling him a "rapist" alongside a photo of McGregor and a woman who says he's the father of her child.

McGregor, who has two children with wife Dee Devlin, is currently under investigation after a separate woman accused him of sexual assault in December in his native Ireland.

While McGregor took down his initial tweets, he continued to call out Nurmagomedov, who decisively won their bout at UFC 229 to retain the UFC lightweight title.

McGregor was widely criticized for his trash talk in the buildup to the fight. He attacked Nurmagomedov's father and religion, which the Russian said contributed to him leaping the Octagon and inciting a major brawl following his victory.

McGregor shockingly retired from MMA last week, though Nurmagomedov is among those who are skeptical of his sincerity.
