White: Namajunas to defend title vs. Andrade at UFC 237

UFC women's strawweight champion Rose Namajunas will defend her title against Brazilian Jessica Andrade at UFC 237 on May 11 in the challenger's home country, UFC president Dana White told ESPN's Brett Okamoto.

The fight will be the co-main event. UFC 237 is yet to have its main event announced.

It will be Namajunas' second title defense after she cemented her status atop the 115-pound division by winning a rematch with Joanna Jedrzejczyk in April 2018.

The 26-year-old sat out the second half of 2018 due to a neck injury.

Meanwhile, Andrade has won six of her last seven fights, with her only defeat coming against Jedrzejczyk via unanimous decision. She most recently knocked out Karolina Kowalkiewicz in the first round of their UFC 228 bout in September.
