The field has been set for Bellator's welterweight grand prix.

Promotion president Scott Coker announced that welterweight champ Rory MacDonald will headline the tournament, which will also feature Michael Page, Douglas Lima, Lorenz Larkin, Ed Ruth, Jon Fitch, Neiman Gracie, Yaroslav Amosov, and Andrey Koreshkov.

The welterweight grand prix will kick off Sept. 29 with Lima (29-7) versus Koreshkov (20-2).

The original plan was for the tournament to include Paul Daley, but a deal couldn't be reached between the two sides before Tuesday's announcement, sources informed ESPN's Ariel Helwani, who added that the door likely isn't completely closed.

The promotion hopes MacDonald will have his opening grand-prix fight in February. He'll first take on middleweight champion Gegard Mousasi on Sept. 29.
