Confirmation on Brock Lesnar's status with the UFC came Monday, and an update on Jon Jones' professional fighting career may soon follow.

Jones' MMA license was revoked by the California State Athletic Commission in February after he tested positive for a steroid following his fight with Daniel Cormier at UFC 214 last July. Jones was also fined and could net a suspension from the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency.

"I'm very confident we will have a decision on this thing by the end of this month," Jones' manager Malki Kawa said on "Ariel Helwani's MMA Show" on Monday, per ESPN's Chamatkar Sandhu.

"I'm hoping he gets cleared in the next month or so and that the opportunity to fight presents itself. If it's next year, early next year or whatever it is, I'm confident."

Jones' UFC rival Daniel Cormier captured the heavyweight title on Saturday in addition to the light heavyweight crown already in his possession. Jones has defeated Cormier on two occasions - though their 2017 fight was rendered a no-contest - and he believes Saturday's development is good news for a future third fight.

"He said, 'Malki, this is the best thing that could ever happen. Now I have the choice of coming back and can kick his ass at light heavyweight or heavyweight,'" Kawa said.
