The UFC is reportedly interested in booking a rematch between Eddie Alvarez and Dustin Poirier for UFC on FOX 30.
Alvarez, however, has other ideas.
"It's not fucking happening," Alvarez told MMAFighting.com's Ariel Helwani. "I'm not fighting until I get a new deal."
A compelling first encounter between Alvarez and Poirier last May was ruled a no-contest after the former was ruled to have landed illegal knees in the second round.
Alvarez says he's motivated to get a new deal done because he has "some unfinished business" in the lightweight division.
"UFC needs to stop playing games," Alvarez said. "They know what I mean."
