Lovato, Gerald Harris agree to meet at Bellator 198 with Salter out

It appears Rafael Lovato will be welcoming Gerald Harris back to the cage at Bellator 198.

With original opponent John Salter nursing an undisclosed injury, the Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace and the previously retired Harris have verbally agreed to a 188-pound catchweight clash on Saturday's bill at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill., a promotional official told theScore on Tuesday after MMAjunkie's Mike Bohn first reported the development.

Lovato, 34, has gotten his hand raised in all seven of his pro bouts. He was last seen taking a unanimous verdict over Chris Honeycutt and improving his promotional record to 3-0 at Bellator 189 in his first trip to the scorecards.

Harris, 38, ends a retirement that lasted all of six months in stepping up on just four days' notice. The UFC alum - who's competed at both welterweight and middleweight - will now look to extend a four-fight win streak in his Bellator debut, most recently scoring one of his patented slam stoppages on an Xtreme Fight Night show this past October. He returns to action with a pro record of 25-5.
