The Octagon continues to look set for an infusion of "Money" sooner rather than later.

Floyd Mayweather told TMZ Sports that while he's yet to apply for an MMA license, he's planning to do so soon and is hopeful he can make his debut, presumably in the UFC.

"Everything takes time. Eventually, we're gonna apply for the license, and hopefully we can fight," Mayweather said.

He added, "Even if it takes six-to-eight months - whatever it takes. We want to make sure that everything is done correctly, and everything is done the right way."

The undefeated and retired boxer confirmed last week he intends to train with UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.
