Cerrone says he's coming for Nurmagomedov after UFC Austin win

Per Haljestam / USA TODAY Sports

Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone snapped his losing streak Sunday at UFC Fight Night 126, and now he's setting his sights on one of the lightweight division's big fish.

Cerrone confirmed he intends to move back to 155 pounds and called out undefeated Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov after beating Yancy Medeiros in the first round of the main event.

"I want 155, I wanna go get that belt," said Cerrone. "Khabib, I'm coming. I'm coming. I ain't scared to fight you."

First, the dominant Nurmagomedov must beat interim 155-pound champion Tony Ferguson at UFC 223 on April 7, and the UFC still must clarify whether Conor McGregor still holds the lightweight title.

But, whenever the top of the division finally sorts itself out, there likely isn't an MMA fan alive that doesn't want to see Cerrone and Nurmagomedov step into the Octagon together.
