The Black Beast is officially back.

Derrick Lewis withstood a well-rounded performance from Marcin Tybura, exploding in the final round with a flurry of blows to put away his opponent via knockout in Sunday's co-main event of UFC Fight Night 126.

A bizarre first saw the two heavyweights spend most of the round on the mat, with both men scoring points. Tybura survived an early scare when Lewis blasted him immediately after fighting out of his clutches on the mat. The American's shot sent the Pole to the ground, but he was able to weather Lewis' vicious ground-and-pound attack.

Tybura took control in the second round, frustrating Lewis by continuing to keep the fight on the ground and forcing the American to expend energy.

A tired Lewis looked for his opening in the third round and found it quickly, beating up Tyburu against the cage to win his 10th UFC fight. Tyburu fell to 3-3.
