UFC returns to Atlantic City in April

Gregory J. Fisher / USA TODAY

MMA might finally be kosher in New York, but the UFC hasn't forgotten about its neighboring state.

The Octagon will return to Atlantic City, N.J. for a Fight Night at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall on April 21, the UFC announced Thursday. The Press of Atlantic City's Nicholas Huba first reported the event as part of a $4-million deal struck between the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority and Endeavor - the UFC's parent company - this past July.

No fights have been attached to the bill as of yet.

The promotion has taken the Garden State 17 times and last visited Atlantic City in July 2014 for UFC Fight Night 45, where Donald Cerrone KO'd Jersey's Jim Miller in the second round of the lightweight main event.
