The Professional Fighters League is alive and well.

The outfit formerly known as World Series of Fighting has inked a distribution deal with NBC Sports Group and Facebook, and its inaugural season will begin June 7, the league announced Monday. The network will broadcast the main card of every event, while Facebook will stream pre- and postfight shows, the undercard for American viewers, and up to six hours of fight-night coverage for viewers abroad.

Seven regular-season events featuring 72 fighters across six weight classes (12 in each) will air Thursday nights through August, with the bracket-formatted postseason scheduled for consecutive Saturday nights through October. The season-ending event - set for New Year's Eve - will crown champions in all six divisions.

Former WSOF execs Carlos Silva and Ray Sefo will remain on board as president and head of fighting operations, respectively.

WSOF held its 35th and final event in March of last year, and the PFL launched one month later. The embryonic outfit has since held a trio of events featuring holdovers Jon Fitch, Blagoy Ivanov and Andre Harrison, among others.
