Ronda Rousey is going to give professional wrestling and sports entertainment a whirl.

The former UFC women's bantamweight champion has signed a full-time contract to compete with World Wrestling Entertainment, per ESPN's Ramona Shelburne.

Rousey made an appearance at Sunday's Royal Rumble event in Philadelphia, decked out in a leather jacket that belonged to the late "Rowdy" Roddy Piper," while entering to the sounds of "Bad Reputation" by Joan Jett.

She pointed to the WrestleMania 34 sign hanging high at Wells Fargo Center, teasing an appearance on the grandest stage of them all. Rousey then extended her hand to women's Rumble winner Asuka, who slapped it away.

"This is my life now. First priority on my timeline for the next several years. This is not a smash-and-grab; this is not a publicity stunt," Rousey told Shelburne. "When I first met with Triple H, I told him, 'There are other things I can do with my time that'll make way more money, but I won't enjoy nearly as much.'"

Rousey was one of the most popular and dominant figures in all of mixed martial arts during her time with the UFC. She last fought in the Octagon at UFC 207 against Amanda Nunes, losing in 48 seconds at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

She dropped her title belt to Holly Holm at UFC 193 the year prior.

"It's funny - it's kind of like acting, in that it was something I always wanted to do but I never thought was in the cards for me," Rousey added about wanting to become a wrestler. "And now that I realize I really do have this opportunity, I feel like my 6-year-old self would totally kick my ass if I didn't take it."

Sunday wasn't the first time Rousey has been inside a WWE ring in front of a massive audience. She appeared at WrestleMania 31 alongside Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in a segment with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, which ended with Rousey delivering a hip toss to McMahon.
