Matt Brown stayed on the couch for all of two months.

After first teasing his retirement and then backpedaling on his plans in November, Brown and Carlos Condit have verbally agreed to meet at a UFC Fight Night event on April 14, sources told Damon Martin of MMANytt on Thursday.

A location for the bill has not yet been confirmed.

The pair had been scheduled to tangle at UFC on FOX 9 back in December 2013, only for Brown to pull out with a back injury the week prior. The 37-year-old recently said he'd gladly get back in the saddle to face Condit before teasing a return to action Thursday afternoon. In what he'd previously anointed his swan song, Brown snapped a three-fight skid with a brutal first-round KO of Diego Sanchez at UFC Fight Night 120.

Condit recently ended a hiatus of his own, dropping a unanimous decision to Neil Magny at UFC 219 in his first fight since August 2016. The loss on points extended his skid to three fights and marked his sixth defeat in his last eight walks to the Octagon. His promotional record sits at an even 7-7.
